SYMPTOMSCardBus cards may not work on computer with a Vesuvius chip set.
CAUSEThe Vesuvius PCI IRQ miniport driver (Pcimp.pci) does not support the SetTrigger and GetTrigger functions that report and set level-triggered interrupts. In order for the CardBus bridge to be configured for a CardBus card's memory and I/O windows, CardBus cards require level-triggered interrupts.
RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem, disable PCI Bus IRQ Steering in Device Manager. To do so, follow these steps.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2). An update to address this problem is now available, but is not fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft does not recommend implementing this update at this time.
