SYMPTOMSAfter you change your domain password, you may receive the following error message:
Your password is too short.You may receive this error message even though the password you typed is the correct length.
CAUSEThis problem can occur if you log on to a domain that requires a "strong" password, and you did not type both uppercase and lowercase letters. A strong password is a password that consists of six or more characters, has numeric characters, and has both uppercase and lowercase letters.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95. An update to address this problem is now available, but is not fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft does not recommend implementing this update at this time. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for additional information about the availability of this update.
