CD in CD-ROM Drive but Windows NT Setup Prompts for CD

SYMPTOMS

In a system that has two CD-ROM drives, even though the Windows NT CD is in the CD-ROM drive that has the highest SCSI ID, the Windows NT setup program prompts you to insert the CD.

CAUSE

Setup chooses one CD-ROM drive (not based on the SCSI ID) and refers to it as the CD-ROM drive.

RESOLUTION

Remove the CD and insert it in the other CD-ROM drive.
