Read-Only Files Don't Copy Correctly to Net One Server

SYMPTOMS

When you connect to a Net One server from Windows NT and then attempt to copy a read-only file from your Windows NT computer to the Net One server, the following error message appears:

   Access denied.

If you check the file on the Net One server, the file appears to be there with read-only attributes, but with a length of zero bytes.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem has been corrected in Windows NT Workstation and Windows NT Server version 3.5. This problem has also been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
