Chat May Use an Incorrect Background ColorLast reviewed: May 9, 1997Article ID: Q103204 |
The information in this article applies to:
The Chat accessory included with Windows NT will only use solid colors for the background, even if the color displayed in the Colors dialog box is a dithered (non-solid) color. (To access the Color dialog box, choose Background Color from the Options menu.) Choosing a dithered color will cause Chat to display the solid component of the dithered color. This behavior is by design. When a background color is selected, Chat performs a NearestColor match to find the nearest solid color that it represents. This is required to correctly match the text background (which cannot represent dithers).
