The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe Update program does not check for free disk space before performing the upgrade. If you have less than 5 MB of free disk space, Update may fail and leave corrupted system files. This results in not being able to start Windows NT.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
