The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you select Portuguese language, the accent circumflex (^) key does not properly create the Portuguese A, I, O, or U characters. (In Portuguese, the accent circumflex mark would appear above these vowels.) You can use the ALT key to specify the ASCII number for the character.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
