SFM: File Time and Date Stamp Change on Copy

SYMPTOMS

When you have Services for Macintosh installed, the time and date stamps change when you change the comment of a folder, lock a file, or change the File Attributes of a file that is viewable to Macintosh clients.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem has been corrected in Windows NT Server version 3.5. This problem has also been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
