Service Pack 2 Backup Program Doesn't Back Up Registry Hives

SYMPTOMS

The Backup program included in U.S. Service Pack 2 does not back up registry hives.

WORKAROUND

To temporarily work around this problem, install an earlier version of the Backup program.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack.
