486-25SX Desktop or Tower 486-33DX Desktop or Tower 486-33SX Desktop or Tower 486-50DX Desktop or Tower 486-66DX2 Desktop or Tower CAUSEAlthough these Data Stor computers are on the Hardware Compatibility List, early models contain motherboards that have a problem with the UMC chipset and are incompatible with Windows NT. If you purchased your computer before March 1993 or if the motherboard does NOT have a Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) CPU socket, your computer may have this chipset.
RESOLUTIONTo correct this problem, upgrade your motherboard. Contact Data Stor technical support at (800) 543-6098. Alternatively, you may be able to work around the problem by disabling certain CMOS settings, particularly by slowing the computer clock rate by disabling the turbo option.
