SUMMARYThe WangDAT model 3400DX DAT drive is not directly compatible with Windows NT, but it can be used with Windows NT after you switch the operational mode of the DAT drive. NOTE: If you have an ATI video adapter, make sure you do not place the DAT drive in slot 4. Hardware and device driver conflicts may occur.
MORE INFORMATIONThe WangDAT 3400DX can be set to emulate the model 3200 by setting the switches 5, 6, and 7 on switchbank "S3" to the "on" position. Because Windows NT does directly support the model 3200, this mode allows the model 3400DX to function with Windows NT. According to Wangtek/WangDAT, this change does not cause loss of performance or loss of any benefits of the model 3400DX. To return to the default settings, turn switches 5, 6, and 7 of switchbank "S3" back to the "off" position. The products included here are manufactured by a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability.
