SYMPTOMSWhen you back up and restore files with the Windows NT Backup program (NTBACKUP) over a network, the program fails during the verify phase if you do not have explicit access to the directory. NTBACKUP works fine on the local drives.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
