STOP Message During Setup on Compaq SystemPro

SYMPTOMS

During the installation of Windows NT, when Setup restarts your computer and boots from the hard disk drive, this STOP message appears:

   TRAP 0x0000007B
   INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

CAUSE

Some older Compaq SystemPro BIOS's do not properly handle larger hard disk drives.

RESOLUTION

Upgrade the BIOS of your Compaq SystemPro computer.
