SYMPTOMSAfter you remove File Commander from Windows NT and run File Manager, the following error message appears:
Menu file file open error. Maybe it does not exist???File Commander is an add-on utility for File Manager.
CAUSEYou deleted the File Commander directory (FILECMDR) but did not remove its Registry settings.
RESOLUTIONIn order to correct this problem, use the Uninstall feature for File Commander and verify that entries in the Registry for the program are removed. WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk.
