Secure Erase on Exabyte 2501 Err Msg: The Computer Has Rebooted

SYMPTOMS

When you run Windows NT Backup and choose to Secure Erase an Exabyte 2501, the following error appears:

   The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a
   (0x6dfcfd94, 0x00000010, 0x00000000, 0x80010ece).

The computer may also stop responding (hang).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Workstation and Windows NT Server version 3.5. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT version 3.5. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
