Service Logged On w/ User Account Able to Interact with Desktop

SYMPTOMS

You start a service using the default account, LocalSystem. It interacts with the desktop and displays windows as expected. You stop the service and restart it using a user account. It incorrectly continues to interact with the desktop and display windows.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Workstation and Windows NT Server version 3.5. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT version 3.5.
