Network Connections Valid Briefly with 3C507 NIC

SYMPTOMS

When you use a 3Com Etherlink 16-TP (3C507) network adapter in Windows NT version 3.5, the connection remains valid for a short period of time but cannot reconnect once the connection fails. To reconnect, you must restart the computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
