STOP 0x7F when Running Network Monitor Agent

SYMPTOMS

Your computer traps at approximately two months intervals when it runs Network Monitor Agent (BHNT.SYS) and is not rebooted during that interval.

The following stop error appears:

   STOP 0x0000007F (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

CAUSE

This STOP error is caused by a divide by zero trap.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.5 and 3.51. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT version 3.51.
