ErrMsg: NET PRINT May Cause Internal Error

SYMPTOMS

When you use the NET PRINT command to view printers on a Windows NT computer, the following error may appear:

   An internal Windows NT error occurred.

CAUSE

This error occurs if there are 55 or more print jobs currently spooled on the printer being referenced. If there are 54 or less jobs waiting, this command works correctly.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Workstation and Server versions 3.51 and 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
