"Access Denied" When Using DIR Command on a NetWare Server

SYMPTOMS

You may receive an "Access Denied" error when you use the AT command to list the directory contents of a mapped drive on a Novell server.

CAUSE

The schedule service is not passing authentication information to the NetWare server.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Workstation and Server versions 3.51 and 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
