Windows NT Registry Has a Limit of 300 Interfaces

SYMPTOMS

OLE applications that create more than 300 interfaces will stop responding after registering 300 interfaces in the registry.

CAUSE

This is a limitation in the Windows NT 3.51 registry. The registry is limited to 300 interface keys.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT versions 3.50 and 3.51. This problem was corrected in the latest Windows NT 3.51 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
