SUMMARY

This articles describes how to view and delete name and address information used by the Automatic Dialing (AutoDial) feature in Windows NT.

NOTE: The AutoDial feature is engaged only when using DNS hostnames.

MORE INFORMATION

To view the list of names and addresses recorded by AutoDial, type the following command at a command prompt:

   rasautou -s

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk.

To delete a name or address entry from the list, use Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe) to view the following Windows NT registry key:

   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\RAS Autodial\Addresses

You can delete any TCP/IP addresses that you see under this key. Note that AutoDial can use IP addresses, DNS fully qualified domain names (FQDN), and NetBIOS names.
