The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWindows NT logs between one and nine of the following messages per second in the SYSTEM EventLog. The error occurs when a client computer attempts to access a shared removable drive (such as a CD-ROM or floppy disk) that has no media in the drive.

CAUSEThe event indicates that the server received an exception of STATUS_NO_MEDIA_IN_DEVICE (c0000013). The error occurs when the server tries to access a shared resource (for example, a CD-ROM or floppy disk) which has no media (that is, no disk) in the drive.
RESOLUTIONThese errors are informational. Notify the administrator that there is no disk in the drive. To prevent these errors, insert a disk in the drive.
