SYMPTOMSThe list of printers attached to a print server in the Add Printer wizard may not appear in alphabetical order.
CAUSEThis problem occurs because the printers are displayed in the same order in which they are received in response to the remote procedure call (RPC) Windows NT makes to retrieve the list of shared printers.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the following fix or wait for the next Windows NT service pack. This fix should have the following timestamp:
10/21/97 04:06p 96,528 winspool.drv (Intel) 10/21/97 04:00p 163,088 winspool.drv (Alpha)NOTE: Service Pack 3 must be applied to Windows NT 4.0 prior to applying this fix. NOTE: This hotfix supersedes the fix referred to in the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
