SYMPTOMSWhen you shut down your Windows NT 4.0-based computer, it may take several minutes to actually shut down.
CAUSEThe Spooler service is started and waiting for a response when you shut down.
RESOLUTIONUse the following steps to stop the Spooler service before shutting down:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
