Printer Icon Not Updated After Changing Port Type

SYMPTOMS

If you change the setting for your printer to print to a different port type, the printer icon is not updated.

RESOLUTION

After you change the port type in the printer's properties, refresh the Printers folder by pressing F5.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows NT version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
