Scivdd.dll Generates Error Messages at Windows NT Startup

SYMPTOMS

After installing Windows NT 4.0 on a Toshiba laptop computer, you may receive error messages involving the Scivdd.dll file when you start your computer.

CAUSE

The Scivdd.dll file is provided by Toshiba to run the power management features on their laptop computers. This file does not run in Windows NT 4.0.

RESOLUTION

Install Windows NT 4.0 to a clean folder.
