Video Problems with #9 FX Vision 330 PCI Video Card on PowerPC

SYMPTOMS

If you are running Windows NT 4.0 on a PowerPC using a Number Nine FX Vision 330 PCI video adapter, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Your computer stops responding (hangs) with a blank screen.
  • The display becomes garbled and unreadable.

CAUSE

This video card has an S3-764-based chip set and is not supported on the PowerPC platform with Windows NT 4.0.

RESOLUTION

You need to use a different video adapter to run Windows NT 4.0 on these computers.
