Stop 0x0000000A - Parity Error on Compaq Proliant 4000

SYMPTOMS

A Compaq Proliant 4000computer running Windows NT Server may randomly stop with the following stop error:

   STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x801078f4)
   NTOSKRNL.EXE

NOTE: The four parameters will be the same.

This may happen on Compaq Proliant 4000s with more than two processors running.

RESOLUTION

Reduce the number of processors to two, or upgrade your hardware.
