Services for Macintosh May Cause STOP 0x0A During High LoadLast reviewed: November 5, 1997Article ID: Q157032 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhile running Windows NT with Services for Macintosh (SFM), Windows NT may encounter a kernel STOP code 0x0A. NOTE: This problem has been observed while using a SysKonnect FDDI adapter, but it may occur with other NDIS drivers as well.
CAUSEUnder very high load, Services for Macintosh may use an otherwise unused code path. The reason for this may be that a network packet was indicated twice and the AppleTalk protocol does not handle this correctly.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
