Files and Folders Not Removed After Canceling ZAK Setup

SYMPTOMS

If you cancel the Zero Administration Kit (ZAK) Setup program on a ZAK server, the files that are copied to the hard disk by the ZAK Setup program are not removed from the hard disk.

RESOLUTION

To remove the files copied to the hard disk by the ZAK Setup program, manually delete the folder in which you installed ZAK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Zero Administration Kit for Windows NT Workstation 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
