SYMPTOMSAfter you install Service Pack 3 on a Windows NT 4.0 RAS server using the Digiboard ISDN RAS board, the server will display a blue screen error message with the following STOP code:
STOP 0x0000000A (0x0000048, 0x00000000, 0x000000002, 0xf8d54f88) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL: 0xf8d54f88 has base at 0xf8d50000 NDISWAN.SYS. NOTE: The first parameter will be the same each time. CAUSEControl block structures within the NDIS code were not being populated properly. The WAN miniport driver, Digipri.sys, lineup/linedown indications were not being handled correctly.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the hotfix below, or wait for the next service pack.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
