SYMPTOMSIn certain instances under Windows NT 4.0, application code may fail when making a function call to the MkParseDisplayName() in Ole32.dll.
CAUSEThis problem occurs because an error is returned to the FindClassMoniker(). This value is expected to be passed back to the caller of MkParseDisplayName() but it has been found that the FindClassMoniker() function call is modifying this error code value. RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain the hotfix below, or wait for the next service pack. This fix should have the following timestamp:

A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem.
