SYMPTOMSWhen you create a directory containing Russian characters on a File and Print Services for NetWare (FPNW) server using a Windows-based client operating system with a NetWare redirector and then press F5 to refresh the Windows Explorer or File Manager view on that client, you notice that all directories without Russian characters (such as the default SYSVOL directories Login, Mail, Public, and System) disappear.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the fix mentioned below. STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
