SYMPTOMSYou may receive a Stop 0x0000000A blue screen error when you use UltraBac for Windows NT on a SQL Server client computer to back up a SQL Server database.
CAUSEThe trap occurs because Windows NT incorrectly sets a transfer length greater than the user’s buffer. This may occur when reading from a named pipe of PIPE_TYPE_MESSAGE across the network when requesting less data than the pipe contains.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the following fix or wait for the next Windows NT service pack. This fix should have the following time stamp:
02/13/98 04:08 pm 264,272 Rdr.sys (Intel) 02/13/98 04:05 pm 511,408 Rdr.sys (Alpha) STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
