Sound Driver for RISC-based ARC-Compliant Computers

SUMMARY

The Olivetti M700-10, a RISC-based Advanced RISC Computing (ARC) compatible computer, has sound capability built into the motherboard. However, running the Sound application in the Windows NT Control Panel on this computer produces the error:

   No suitable wave output device available.

The driver for this board is not currently available. A new sound driver is needed because the audio chip in the M700-10 differs from the ones in other ARC computers, such as the Jazz/PWS4000.
