WD6X: Zoom Changed to 100% When Launching Picture Editor

Last reviewed: November 17, 1997
Article ID: Q106242
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word for Windows, version 6.0, 6.0a
  • Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, version 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.1a

SYMPTOMS

When you double-click a picture to edit it in the picture editor, the picture editor always opens up with the zoom set at 100% and the picture at the upper left of the screen. Changes to the zoom and scroll bar position are not saved between Picture Editor sessions.

CAUSE

The Picture Editor positions and zooms the Word Picture document independently of the settings for the container document to prevent pictures from appearing clipped or incorrectly sized when they initially appear in the Picture Editor.
