SUMMARYIf you unlink any embedded object in Microsoft Word version 6.x or later, Word creates a Word picture object. In Word 2.x for Windows, if you unlink an embedded object, Word creates a Windows metafile with no associated field code. NOTE: Pressing CTRL+SHIFT+F9 unlinks most Word fields.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen you double-click a picture object, Word displays it for editing in the picture editor. To determine what picture editor Word is using, use the appropriate method for your version of Word:
