Brittanic Bold Font Prints Incorrectly on HP LaserJet 4

SYMPTOMS

The TrueType font Brittanic Bold may print incorrectly on the Hewlett- Packard (HP) LaserJet 4 printer. Corrupted characters (typically not on the first line), streaks, or dropped characters may appear. Also a font error may be displayed on the front panel of the printer.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

RESOLUTION

Select the Print TrueType As Graphics option for the printer driver. To do so, use the following steps:

  1. From the File menu, choose Print.

  2. Choose the Printer button.

  3. Choose the Options button.

  4. Select the Print TrueType As Graphics check box.
