The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSUsing the FilePrint or FilePrintDefault command in an AutoExec, AutoOpen, or Command Line macro causes the following general protection (GP) fault to appear when you start Word for Windows:
WinWord caused a General Protection Fault in module: WINWORD.EXE at 00AE:6C75Note: You can execute a macro from the Command Line property of an icon in Program Manager using the /m switch. Below is a sample command line that runs a macro named TheMacro:
C:\WINWORD\WINWORD.EXE /MTheMacro C:\WINWORD\FILENAME.DOC STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows. This problem was corrected in versions 6.0a and later of Word for Windows.
RESOLUTIONRemove FilePrint and/or FilPrintDefault from the AutoExec macro in NORMAL.DOT. Use the following procedure to edit the AutoExec macro:
