Err Msg: "Setup Could Not Find Microsoft Word 6.0..."

SYMPTOMS

When running the Microsoft Office Manager (MOM), you may receive the error message: 

   Setup could not find Microsoft Word 6.0 installed on your system.
   Please install Microsoft Word 6.0 before installing this application.

CAUSE

This message appears when MOM cannot find the file WINWORD6.INI in the Windows directory. MOM Setup needs to read the Picture-Path entry in the WINWORD6.INI so that it can install the clip art index and thumbnail files in the specified directory. If it cannot find the .INI file, it will be unable to put these files in the proper location.

RESOLUTION

Find the WINWORD6.INI file and move it to the Windows directory.
