Using the Logitech Three-Button Mouse with Word 6.0

SYMPTOMS

The right mouse button on a three-button Logitech mouse may not perform some functions in Word for Windows.

CAUSE

The Logitech three-button mouse controller allows you to assign functions to its middle and right mouse buttons. If the right mouse button is assigned to a function, Word for Windows loses the ability to use that button to accomplish any of the functions it associates with the right mouse button.

WORKAROUND

Method 1: Change the Logitech Button Assignments

1. Run Windows Control Panel, and choose the purple Logitech mouse icon.

2. Choose Button Assignments.

   This dialog box displays two list boxes: one for middle button and one for the right button.

3. Configure the right mouse button for "unassigned."

Method 2: Disable Help and Navigation Keys for Wordperfect Users

1. Press ALT+H to display the Help menu.

2. Choose the WordPerfect Help command.

3. In the Help For WordPerfect Users dialog box, click the Options button.

4. Clear the Help For WordPerfect Users and Navigation Keys For WordPerfect Users check boxes, click OK, and then click Close.
