SYMPTOMS

When you try to print envelopes to a Canon BJ-200 using the BJ200.DRV printer driver version 1.2, you may get no printout or a blank envelope unless the following steps are taken.

RESOLUTION

To successfully print envelopes to Canon’s BubbleJet 200:

At the printer:

   1. Move the lever to the right of the paper feed forward to the envelope
      position.

   2. Ensure the printer is on and is online.

At the computer:

   3. Using Windows version 3.1:
      --------------------------

Run Print Manager and choose Alert Always.

      Using Windows for Workgroups:
      -----------------------------

Run Print Manager, choose Options, and choose Background
Printing. Make sure Display All Warnings is selected.

   4. In Word choose Envelopes And Labels from the Tools menu.

   5. Create and print your envelope.

At the printer:

   6. Wait for the printer to stops making clicking noises before feeding
      the envelope.

   7. Place the envelope in the paper feeder return address location
nearest the floor, address side facing the printer, but do not press
the two buttons on the printer as indicated in the printer
documentation. Pressing these buttons will produce a blank envelope,
or will pull the envelope in incorrectly.

At the computer:

   8. Press OK to the message that asks to load the envelope at the
      printer.
