Cannot Remove Border Formatting from Picture

SYMPTOMS

In a Word for Windows document, sometimes you cannot remove a portion of a border (frequently the bottom border) from an inserted picture or object, even when you choose None in the Format Borders and Shading dialog box (Format Border dialog box in Word 2.x) or choose the No Border button on the Borders toolbar (Word 6.0 only).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows. This problem was corrected in versions 6.0a and later of Word for Windows.
