SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Bullets and Numbering command on the Format menu (or the Numbering button on the Standard toolbar) to number cells in a Word for Windows table, you can only include one sequence of numbers in the table. If you insert a second sequence of numbers in the table, Word continues the numbering from the first set of numbers, even if you want to start over at 1. For example, Word starts the second set of numbers in the sample table below at 5 instead of 1:

Second Numbered List WORKAROUNDTo include more than one sequence of numbers in a Word table using the Numbering command, insert a continuous section break above the row where you want to restart the numbering sequence. Use the following instructions to create two separate numbering sequences in a Word table:
