The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSClicking the magnifying glass pointer in the Print Preview window when the Zoom Control is set to 100 percent does not increase the zoom level, even though the pointer displays a plus sign.
CAUSEBy design, the maximum zoom level of the magnifying glass pointer is 100 percent.
RESOLUTIONIn the Zoom Control box, select a percentage lower than 100 percent (or type a percentage in the Zoom Control box and press ENTER).
MORE INFORMATIONThe print preview window in Word allows you to view your document as small as 10 percent or as large as 200 percent. When in print preview, if the magnifying glass pointer displays a plus sign, and the Zoom Control box displays 100 percent or less, it will always zoom to 100 percent. When the pointer displays a minus sign for zoom percentages above 100 percent, clicking in the document will zoom to 100 percent. If the I-beam pointer is displayed instead of the magnifying glass pointer, click the Magnifier button on the toolbar.
