SYMPTOMS

In Word for the Macintosh, when you select some text and then click AutoText on the Edit menu, the text appears in the Name box, but it is not selected.

By contrast, the text in the Name box is selected, as expected, in Word for Windows.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 6.0 for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
