System Hangs w/Equation Editor in Word for Windows NT on MIPS

SYMPTOMS

Opening an existing Equation Editor 2.0 object in a Microsoft Word for Windows NT document causes the 16-bit Windows subsystem to stop responding (hang) under Windows NT on MIPS machines.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Workstation version 3.5 and Windows NT Server version 3.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
