No Revision Marks When Editing Text in Grammar Dialog BoxLast reviewed: August 5, 1997Article ID: Q122559 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you perform a Grammar check when your document is marked for Revisions while Editing, any changes that you make in the Sentence box of the Grammar dialog box will not display in the document with revision marks. This functionality works correctly in Word 6.0 for the Macintosh and Word 6.0 for Windows NT. STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. This problem was corrected in Word version 7.0 for Windows 95.
WORKAROUNDTo note your changes with revision marks while the Grammar check dialog box is activated, you can click in the document area and edit your text. You can do this because the Grammar check dialog box is a modeless dialog box, which allows you to switch focus between the document and the dialog box. When you have finished editing your text, click the Start button in the Grammar dialog box to return focus to it, and then choose the Ignore button.
