WD: Return Address Prints Too Far to the Right on Deskwriter

SYMPTOMS

Using the Hewlett-Packard DeskWriter printer driver version 6.0, Microsoft Word prints the return address too far to the right on envelopes printed on the DeskWriter 520 and DeskWriter 560c.

The return address prints 0.75 inch from the left edge and 0.38 inch from the top of the envelope.

Changing the Return Address position in the Envelopes Options dialog box has no effect on where the return address prints.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

With most printer drivers, you can alter where the Return Address prints. To change the return address position, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Envelopes And Labels.

2. Select the Envelopes tab.

3. Click Options.

4. In the Return Address area, change the From Left and From Top measurements.

5. Click OK.
